The hilly district of Ziegelhausen lies to the east of the city and, together with neighbouring Schlierbach, forms the "gateway to the Neckar Valley".
The idyllic landscape between the mouths of the Mausbach, Steinbach and Bärenbach rivers makes Ziegelhausen a popular excursion destination. In addition to the Kanzlerblick vantage point with its magnificent panoramic views, the Benedictine monastery of Neuburg Abbey and the Max Berk Textile Museum are particularly worth a visit.
Writers such as Stefan George, Hermann Hesse, Thomas Mann and Rainer Maria Rilke were guests here and found inspiration. The composers Johannes Brahms and Carl Maria von Weber, who had the inspiration for his opera "Der FreischĂĽtz" in Ziegelhausen, can also be mentioned in the same breath.
