Köpferbrunnen
A historical ensemble consisting of a chapel and a stone pavilion. The mysterious place is ideal for a rest.
Beschreibung
The Köpferbrunnen is the "crowning" finale in the Köpfer valley nature reserve. Starting from the Trappensee, the Köpfer valley leads along the small Köpfer stream, which children like to use for playing and "building water dams".
In the lower Köpfer valley, meadows, wetlands and forest alternate, while the upper course of the Köpfer stream lies exclusively in the forest.
The Köpfer well is located in a small clearing. The spring pool is welcome by hikers on hot summer days for a cool foot bath.
In the small chapel you can read about the history of the "Köpferanlage".
Walking tip
The path into the nature reserve Köpfertal starts directly opposite the bus stop Trappensee/Literaturhaus. It is about 2 km along the Pfühlbach stream to the Köpfer spring and the Köpfer fountain (not signposted).
At the end of the walk, two tips for stopping for refreshments:
Trappensee beer garden:
Directly on the Trappensee with a view of the "Trappenseeschlösschen",
small children's playground & a trampoline to romp on
Jägerhaus forest restaurant:
About 1.5 km from the start of the hike in Heilbronn's city forest,
nice children's area
