Beschreibung
Extensive, scenic and with beautiful views of the Swabian Alb, this path leads to chapels in the southern part of the town and its suburbs. Scherer's Chapel on the road to Hausen can be found as early as 1448. The journeymen's chapel, mentioned as early as 1534, forms a remarkable monument with a mighty summer lime tree at the transition from the edge of the town to the countryside. The Hausen chapel was consecrated in 1986. After a longer walk, you reach St Sylvester's Chapel in Bühlingen. A hermitage is mentioned as early as 1311. You return to the town via the former Cistercian monastery of Rottenmünster, now St Vincent de Paul Hospital. A brief visit to the newly remodelled cemetery chapel and a short stop at the Arms Sinners' Chapelround off the route.
