High above Obrigheim, in an exceptional panoramic location on the Castle Road, Neuburg Castle is located directly on the banks of the Neckar between Heidelberg and Heilbronn. Neuburg Castle rises on a cliff that slopes steeply down to the Neckar and is Obrigheim's landmark. There are numerous excursion and leisure opportunities from here. Today's Neuburg Castle consists of a main building, whose walls date back to the Gothic period despite several renovations and modernizations, and a more recent wing, whose mezzanine floor is reached by an open staircase in Baroque style, with a spiral staircase tower between the two parts of the building. HotelSchloss Neuburg is suitable for birthday parties, weddings and company celebrations, and the modern conference room has a capacity for up to 20 people. For larger parties, the Knights' Hall is available for approx. 50 people, the Ritterstube for 30 people and the Frundsbergzimmer for 20 people. The rustic vaulted cellar under the main building offers the opportunity to organize celebrations for up to 30 people, stylish wine tastings, etc. The terrace in the castle courtyard offers a view of the Neckar valley for approx. 120 people.
