Literary and children's events, workshops and exhibitions take place regularly at the public library. Unless otherwise stated in the individual events, attendance is free of charge and possible without prior registration.

It is no coincidence that Heidelberg was the first German city to be included in the UNESCO Creative Cities network as a city of literature in October.

For 40 years, the Heidelberg City Library has been continuously collecting biographical material, photos, reviews, press articles and much more on more than 100 contemporary Heidelberg fiction authors.
