BlĂĽtenweg BergstraĂźe
The Bergstrasse BlĂĽtenweg is one of the most beautiful hiking trails in Germany and runs along the sun-drenched Bergstrasse from Darmstadt to Wiesloch. Especially in spring, it delights with early almond and fruit blossom, Mediterranean flair and marvellous views of the Rhine plain. Charming wine villages, castles and gentle hills make it a varied experience for connoisseurs and nature lovers.
The Bergstrasse Blütenweg ("Blossom Trail") runs along one of the warmest and sunniest regions in Germany - the Bergstrasse - and connects idyllic places, historical sights and impressive natural scenery over around 80 kilometres. From Darmstadt to Wiesloch, the route winds its way through gentle vineyards, light forests and picturesque old towns.
The BlĂĽtenweg owes its name to the particularly early and lush flowering season: in early spring, almond trees, orchards and ornamental shrubs transform the region into a colourful sea of blossoms. This almost Mediterranean flair makes every hike a special experience.
Along the way, sweeping views across the Rhine Valley open up again and again, while castles, palaces and historic town centres invite you to linger. Numerous refreshment stops with regional cuisine and wines from the region round off the tour perfectly.
Whether as a multi-day hike or in individual stages - the Bergstrasse BlĂĽtenweg offers an ideal combination of nature, culture and enjoyment and is a real highlight for both ambitious hikers and relaxed walkers.
