Wegbeschreibung
The route starts at the Wagrainäcker underground station: cross the Neckar over the Aubrücke bridge and take the steps to the left directly to the banks of the Neckar. Turn right here and follow Austraße. After approx. 200 metres, a narrow path on the left leads up the Schnarrenberg. Follow the road through picturesque allotments and turn right at the next opportunity. The path climbs steeply through the vineyards and offers you a fascinating view looking back.
You reach the highest point of this hike at the sports grounds of TV Cannstatt. From here, turn left over the pedestrian ford and continue through the small park towards Burgholzhof.
The Burgholzhof tower, which is definitely worth a climb, is already waiting for you there. Enjoy the view of Stuttgart, Bad Cannstatt and the Neckar valley - it's worth it!
After approx. 200 metres, turn left towards the Robert Bosch Hospital, which you leave on your right.
After the hospital, turn left again: you are now in the middle of the vineyards on the Pragsattel, the main growing area for Pinot Noir. The direct view of Stuttgart's vibrant city centre is fantastic!
The wine trail now continues through the vineyards and follows the path back to the Robert Bosch Hospital. Below the hospital, turn right and walk along the ridge past the Trollinger, Lemberger and Pinot Blanc
ridge past the Trollinger, Lemberger and Pinot Blanc vineyards until you reach a residential area.
Here a narrow path leads to the road ‘Am Wolfersberg’, which takes you back to the park and the TVC sports grounds. (There you will come to the Schnarrenberg wine trail.) Through the vineyards you will finally reach the former weather office. From there, the route descends to the Neckar and over the Aubrücke bridge back to the starting point, the Wagrainäcker underground station.
