Town Hall - Hall of Honor
Memorial in the inner courtyard of the town hall for the dead of the Second World War and the victims of the Third Reich.
Beschreibung
The rococo building, once the town archive, was built in 1765/66 by Johann Christoph Keller and was considered the most beautiful secular building in Heilbronn. After its destruction, it was rebuilt by architect Rudolf Gabel between 1959 and 1963. To commemorate almost 11,000 victims of the Third Reich, the sculptor Karl Knappe designed the interior as a hall of honor. The "town hall-hall of honor"Â is accessible during the opening hours of the Citizens' Office.
