The landmark of Horb
Beschreibung
of the canonry by Count Rudolf III von Hohenberg in 1387 did the relationship between the two parishes nominally change. The Gothic collegiate church was extended in the 14th and 15th centuries and burnt down completely in the great town fire of 1725. In 1728/55, the nave and tower were rebuilt in the Baroque style. In 1806, the King of Württemberg abolished the Horber Canons' Monastery, most of whose impressive church treasures have been preserved. The Horber Madonna in the so-called Frauenchörle is probably the most important work of art in the Neckar town.
