Villingen-Schwenningen has always had a special connection to sport.

We have almost 100 sports clubs and almost as many sports that you can practise with like-minded people. From fishing to water polo, we offer everything a sportsman's heart desires. At the top of the list of professional sports here is ice hockey; the Schwenninger Wild Wings currently play in the top league (DEL). The town of Villingen-Schwenningen is also represented in basketball by the Wiha Panthers Schwenningen in the second-highest league, the 2nd German Basketball League Pro A.
