Schütteturm und Ottilienkapelle

The watchtower was built in 1422 as protection against the Counts of Zollern at the time of the town wars, when the County of Hohenberg was pledged to a consortium of 19 Swabian imperial towns. Next to the Schütteturm tower is the Ottilienkapelle chapel, built around 1431, which was visited by many eye sufferers as a place of pilgrimage.
In 1900, it was renovated as an observation tower by three Horber associations.
