In 1990, the museum of the town of Eberbach was awarded first prize as an “exemplary museum of local history” by the Arbeitskreis Heimatpflege Nordbaden.

Beschreibung

The historical development of the Staufer town of Eberbach, founded in 1227, is closely linked to the surrounding nature.

These natural conditions - situated in a deeply incised river valley, surrounded by extensive forests and embedded in the red sandstone mountains of the Odenwald - have been the basis of life for the inhabitants of Eberbach for centuries.
