Maimarkt grounds
From cucumber peelers to international show jumping events, vintage car rallies or job fairs - you'll find almost everything at the Mannheim Maimarkt fairground.
Beschreibung
The "Maimarkt" area originated with the market privileges awarded to Mannheim in 1613. Initially a grocery and livestock market, today's 210,000 square metre area is put to a wide variety of uses. Alongside the "Veterama" vintage car rally or the Time Warp Festival, the "Maimarkt" itself is known as the largest regional fair in Germany. No matter whether you are looking for something specific or fancy just casually browsing around the immense offering - the Maimarkt in Mannheim is an experience for the whole family.
Top tip: Directly opposite the Maimarkt grounds is the City Airport Mannheim, where you can see the planes close up. If you are hungry while you're there, the pretty beer garden at the Lindbergh restaurant has an inviting menu and a great aviation vibe.
