Lehr- und Versuchsgarten Braike "Garten Eden" Nürtingen
Beschreibung
In the Braike teaching and experimental garden at the Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Applied Sciences, visitors can stroll along winding paths through the beautiful 1.8-hectare garden and admire over 300 species of shrubs and 800 perennials. It is not for nothing that it is known locally as the "Garden of Eden".
This educational and experimental garden is unique in Baden-Württemberg. Planting options for perennials and woody plants are taught here. Woody plants, perennials and summer flowers are combined in such a way that the location requirements match and the colors, shapes and structures of the plants harmonize.
The "Garden of Eden" is a facility at the university that is primarily intended to provide landscape architecture students with a practical course of study. Visitors are welcome to take a tour of the various planting areas and simply enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of the green oasis on the outskirts of the city. They can also get ideas for their own garden here.
From April to October, the garden is also opened every second Sunday by dedicated citizens and students under the motto "Garden of Eden for everyone". Guided tours also take place on some weekends.
