Built in 1896 in neo-Gothic style
The number of Protestant citizens grew steadily in the 19th century with the transfer of the imperial-royal anterior Austrian town of Horb to the Kingdom of Württemberg. In 1896, St John's Church in Weingasse, a Protestant church building in neo-Gothic style designed by Stuttgart architect Theophil Frey (1845 - 1904), was completed for them. The stone statues of St John on the outside wall of the church were created in the workshop of the Horber sculptor Anton Leins.
