House of Literature Heilbronn
In the middle of the Trappensee, which has been occupied since the beginning of the 16th century, stands the little castle. After reconstruction and renovation work, it has been open to the public since the end of July 2020 as the Literaturhaus Heilbronn with the Anker Kleist Archive Sembdner.
Beschreibung
Already in the reception area, the house creates an interest in literature and invites visitors to read. A monitor shows statements by authors about the Literaturhaus and an audio station provides access to short texts by Heinrich von Kleist, Wilhelm Waiblinger, read by Heilbronn actor Lucas Janson, and Ernst Siegfried Steffen, read by Tübingen writer Joachim Zelter. On the first floor, the event hall offers space for readings, lectures, discussions, workshops and smaller conferences. It is also possible to hold civil weddings here - framed by an exhibition of eleven original graphics by Leipzig artist Rolf Kuhrt (born 1936) on the "Käthchen von Heilbronn". On the second floor, the opening exhibition "Heilbronn-erlesen - Eine literarische Spurensuche" presents the writer Victoria Wolff as well as Heinrich von Kleist, Justinus Kerner, Wilhelm Waiblinger,Ludwig Pfau, Theodor Heuss, Otto Rombach, Herbert Asmodi and Ernst Siegfried Steffen. Heilbronn points of reference are highlighted in the show. Special feature: texts can be collected and taken along. Ten competition entries from the eight participants/teams can also be seen here, and anyone who likes can listen to "Käthchen von Heilbronn".
