The hill between the upper fortress and the upper market square has been known as BuĂź since time immemorial. The BuĂźtor gate, which was part of the inner ring of town walls and provided access to the old town centre at the top of BuĂźgasse, was named after it. The former 'BuĂź' inn stands in the corner between BuĂźgasse and the footpath to the SchĂĽtte, which leads via the Horber Kreuzweg up to the Ottilienkapelle and the SchĂĽtteturm. Behind it rises the tower-shaped Haus am BuĂź, which towers far above the surrounding roof ridges. The timber-framed building with a wooden plank wall was erected on a stone foundation in 1439.
