Hafenmarktturm (Hafenmarkt tower)
The tower was built in Baroque style in 1727. It was severely damaged during the destruction of Heilbronn in 1944.
Beschreibung
It was only in 1950-51 that it was renovated and the top of the tower was rebuilt. It then rose like a phoenix from the ashes, as a crowning symbol of the reconstruction of Heilbronn.
It has been possible to enter the Hafenmarktturm since 1986, when the outer façade was renovated and stairs were installed up to the upper platform.
Every day at 7.20 pm the bells in the tower play the melody "Kein schöner Land". At 10.55am they play the melody of one of five well known folk songs.
