German Griffin Observatory
At Guttenberg Castle in the Odenwald you can experience bird of prey shows with eagles, vultures etc. Before or after the show you have the opportunity to explore the castle's kennels with around 120 birds, exhibitions and sculptures.

Around 60 large birds of prey and owls live at Guttenberg Castle. Giant birds such as black vultures, griffon vultures and bearded vultures, as well as their mighty counterparts such as white-tailed eagles, golden eagles and imperial eagles, can be marveled at during spectacular flight demonstrations by the German Griffin Observatory at Guttenberg Castle.
Flight demonstrations at the griffin observatory
The birds circle above the beautiful Neckar Valley during the flight demonstrations and fly over the heads of the guests. The falconers impart exciting knowledge about the rulers of the skies.
Tour of the griffin observatory
A tour of the enclosure also gives visitors a close-to-nature insight into the fascinating world of griffins.
