Bruckenwasen Country Park Plochingen
Beschreibung
The Bruckenwasen recreation area in the Neckar valley was created in 1998. Plochingen hosted the 16th Baden-Württemberg Garden Show for a whole summer, enabling the preservation of an area of countryside on the banks of the River Neckar and the River Fils, linking it once again with the town; a verdant entrance to the densely populated area around Stuttgart.
Bruckenwasen Country Park is ideal for walking, cycling and relaxing. The Neckar and Fils valley cycle trails meet here. There are beautiful walks along the River Neckar allowing you to experience the natural beauty of the valley.
Children will enjoy the two large play parks and for teenagers there is a skate park and the “North Face of the Eiger”, a climbing wall. The steam railway goes round the park and is operated by the local steam railway club every Sunday during the summer. You can find out about the local valley from the Neckar-Fils Environment Centre and if you like boules, you can indulge in your sport in the public boules area. There are also several good bars and a beer garden for you to sit and relax in.
