The observation tower of the Swabian Alb Association looks out over Plochingen from the heights of the Schurwald and offers a magnificent view of the Swabian Alb, the Schurwald and the Neckar valley. It was built in 1938 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Swabian Albverein, which was founded in 1888 in the Waldhorn in Plochingen. Scenic hikes through the Schurwald forest or the orchards also lead past here.
