Beschreibung
One Museum, Two Locations, Three Focus Areas:
The Kunstmuseum Reutlingen, with two centrally located venues and around 2,400 square meters of exhibition space, is one of the largest municipal institutions for modern and contemporary art in southwestern Germany.
Since its founding in 2017, Kunstmuseum Reutlingen | konkret has presented solo exhibitions and cross-sections of its collection across approximately 1,000 square meters of space. Thanks to a donation from the holdings of the Stiftung fĂĽr konkrete Kunst Reutlingen and the prestigious collection of Manfred Wandel, a dynamic exhibition program has emerged. The museum is particularly dedicated to showcasing constructive, concrete, and conceptual art forms. Group exhibitions propose contemporary reinterpretations of the term "concrete art," continuing the developmental lines laid out in the donated collection into present-day art.
Our tip: Be sure to also visit the Natural History Museum and the Local History Museum of the city of Reutlingen.
