Beschreibung
One Museum, Two Locations, Three Focus Areas:
The Kunstmuseum Reutlingen, with two centrally located venues and around 2,400 square meters of exhibition space, is one of the largest municipal institutions for modern and contemporary art in southwestern Germany.
The exhibition space Kunstmuseum Reutlingen | Galerie is entirely dedicated to contemporary art. Covering approximately 700 square meters, it occupies the formerly industrial basement of the Wandel-Hallen, showcasing site-specific installations, monographic presentations, and thematic group exhibitions. The gallery regularly becomes a stage for emerging national and international artistic positions, including scholarship holders from the HAP Grieshaber Foundation. Contemporary artists from the region also present their works here as part of the Kunst Reutlingen exhibition series, held every two years in cooperation with the Kunstverein.
Our tip: Be sure to also visit the Natural History Museum and the Local History Museum of the city of Reutlingen.
