Beschreibung
Starting from Europaplatz, the tour first takes you across the Neckar island and past the edge of the old town. Directly behind the Schlossberg tunnel, Haagtorplatz is a great place to park your bike and enjoy an ice cream.
The route continues along the Ammer river out of TĂĽbingen. The route leads through the idyllic Ammertal valley, which is known for its vineyards and farms. The Wurmlingen chapel, the landmark of the FrĂĽchtetrauf, can be seen from afar. In Wurmlingen, it is worth parking your bikes at the chapel parking lot and taking the path up the Kapellenberg. At the top, you are rewarded with a fantastic view over the Neckar valley to the Swabian Alb and as far as Hohenzollern Castle.
Back down in the valley, you return to TĂĽbingen: The route leads through orchards along the Spitzberg with its old wine terraces. Today, as the Hirschauer Berg nature reserve, they provide a habitat for many rare animal and plant species. The trail follows the Neckar, past the TĂĽbingen outdoor pool and back to the Neckar island.
